About Course

The LPV/WAAS training course presents the Challenger 300 FMS 4.0 and GPS upgrades. The update introduces satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) navigation to support the new category of approach, approach procedures with vertical guidance (APV). The LPV/SBAS update improves runway access as LPV enables lower minimas to support landing during periods of reduced visibility. Demonstrations are used to illustrate LPV approach procedures.
